Kenyan agency plans huge cold chain facility in East Africa

A main Kenyan warehouse and logistics service supplier Cold Solutions, says it’s going to invest USD 70 million to construct the largest cold chain facility in East Africa to deal with challenges that face transportation of perishable goods.
Cold Solution’s 15,000 sqm flagship facility in Tatu City Special Economic Zone in Nairobi would be the largest, most advanced and environment friendly in the area. The chilly chain facility is flexibly designed to cater for numerous temperature ranges from +26 to -40 C and a quantity of product ranges, from contemporary fruit and vegetables, to prescription drugs and vaccines, meats and poultry, and frozen foods.
