BANGKOK: The daughter of a retired police common ran amok at Dusit Police Station after struggling the indignity of seeing her boyfriend fined for driving with no license. The incident occurred at about 11 pm on June 26. Kwanreuthai Taensawat, 31, and her 25-year-old brother Supakorn had been in a pickup truck being driven by her boyfriend, Thongchai Khombaramee, when it was stopped at a police checkpoint in front of Dusit Zoo. When 33-year-old Thongchai failed to produce a license he was requested to visit the police station to pay a fine. This infuriated his privileged passengers, and once they arrived at the station, Supakorn shoved an officer and was sent to an interrogation room to “cool down”. But his sister was simply warming up.
