In their latest move, Pattaya officials signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Laem Chabang Municipality officers yesterday to develop an efficient welfare system for homeless individuals and beggars within the region.
According to Pattaya officers, a survey carried out in 2019 revealed that there were roughly 2,721 homeless people across Thailand. However, the Covid-19 pandemic has led to a big increase within the variety of people experiencing homelessness, starting from 3,500 to 4,000 people.
